Pea Soup (hernekeitto) with rye bread or lihapiirakka
1 cup whole green peas, 6 cups of water, let soak overnight.
Cook with meat cut from pork chop (put the bone in too), salt to taste, carrot, maybe add sauteed onion and Turun Mustard. Cook about 2 hours on low heat.
Meat will be more tender if precooked for 1 hour or so.
Serve with Lihapiirakka or rye bread with cheese.
